Learn to live in the 'now'

Learn to live in the ‘now’

When someone is stable in the present they are able to forgive and let go. Let me use the power of compassion, love, honesty and forgiveness. No matter what the situation, there will definitely be benefit for both me and the other people involved in the future. Let me keep this positive faith. Each of us has made mistakes in the past. If we remember these mistakes, we can’t live in the moment.

It is through knowledge that I can know what I have to do now. I mustn’t be lazy and make excuses. If, in the present moment I change, it will impact others to change. Whatever happened in the past, I have to let go. Ask yourself; in order to create a good future what must I do now, at this moment? All of you are sensible. It must be your experience that when you stabilize yourself in the present, you don’t worry about the future.

If I am stable in the present then, with courage and faith, I can create a good future. There should not be even an hour lost, not even a minute should be lost. If I pay attention to this I will earn a true income. If I have the spirit of forgiveness, I can let go of the past. If someone made a mistake, I can help them to forget also. Let me have such awareness and generosity that I can help others to forget what happened. Let me erase feelings of animosity and have only feelings of true friendship.

When I understand and protect myself then I can remain safe. As you go into the depth of spirituality and know yourself, you begin to recognize 4 types of thoughts – firstly, negative thoughts (e.g. violent). I should be able to realize that this negative thought is dangerous for me. It’s distractive for me and for the world because it is based on violence. For me to create such a though is like eating poison. I need to finish it.

Secondly, there are waste thoughts. These are waste thoughts about others, about the past, as well as thoughts that create feeling of hopelessness. Waste thoughts create weakness. Let me liberate myself from negative thoughts by understanding clearly what is negative. There is also confusion. Let me finish this.

Thirdly, there is ordinary thinking. It’s not bad, not wasteful, but it’s mundane and I don’t need such thoughts. I need to finish negative and finish waste thoughts. However, if I let even ordinary thoughts continue, they will pull me down.

Fourthly, there are pure thoughts. Let my thoughts be so clean that my mind can stay healthy. Let me create such thoughts which are pure, positive and powerful. Such thoughts are based on courage, honesty and faith.

The first step is to realize the contrast in these different types of thoughts. When we work with spirituality, then there is real honesty. We then see our life becoming free from negativity and we come closer to the Father. Meditation is to make the self honest. God is truth, God is love. Let me be the same. Stay honest. Be faithful in relationships. Don’t be selfish. Be ever ready to give happiness to others. This is meditation. It is a gift from God.

I am seeing through these eyes and you are listening through these years. The soul is present and that is why we can see and communicate. In the state of body consciousness, we don’t realize that it is I the soul who is working through this body. Now there is the understanding of the self, I can keep my mind peaceful and calm. Soul and body are together and the soul is working through the body. A tool on its own can’t do anything. It won’t be useful if someone doesn’t use the instrument. The soul is making the body function. Where is the soul located? People think that maybe the soul is in the physical heart. I understand that the soul is in the forehead. The soul is making the hands and the feet move. Now, when it is aware of itself, it becomes the master.

Where do souls reside? There is the home of souls. The soul leaves its home, comes to the world stage and plays its role.
There are 4 things we have to understand clearly. Firstly who am I? Each soul has its own role. The soul is the living energy. Animals, birds and humans all have souls. Human souls take birth according to their actions, their karmic accounts. At the present time, souls are separated from God. It’s as if we have no time to think about and understand God. Our lives are so busy. Religion is in conflict, so people lose faith and say, “let me just focus on doing what I am doing in my life”.

I have been living abroad for 32 years and you can see the condition of the world. Wherever it is, in Australia, Africa, or any country across the world, we see violence increasing. Corruption, competition and criticism have entered peoples’ lives. In the early days, it was difficult to gather 15 people to listen to these things. Now it is not difficult to gather 5000; people are concerned about the state of the world.

The second subject I need to know about is God. Let me recognize who the Supreme is. What I receive from God is peace and happiness. It is these that free the soul from worry and sorrow. We are able to receive the treasures people receive from God while in deep prayer. My inner voice tells me that I have to focus my attention on the Supreme.

The third aspect is the law of action and reaction, cause and effect - karma. There are questions in my heart – what’s going on in the world? Where did I come from? We understand that souls come from the home of light; the home of every soul is that world of light up above. That is my home. And we come here on this earth to play our part on this stage. As children play, they forget they are playing and start beating each other. That’s what happened to us. Now we have the understanding of who am I, who I belong to and where I came from. When I the soul first came from my home I was very pure. Then I accumulated all sorts of influences through my actions.

Now I want to be clean and pure so I can go home because my part of drama is now over. Let me be the embodiment of peace and love and prepare to go home. Let me remove all unclean things such as jealousy. Let me stay on the pilgrimage - my journey home.

Before I was trapped here – with awareness I become free. What is the purpose of my life now? To live with honesty, to be able to have truth in my life so that my actions can be filled with truth and I can share happiness. Now, with the power and the love of God we can transform our actions and transform this world. This is our responsibility. Who spoilt the world? Humans. So humans have to reform it again - transform it. This is our responsibility. And I can do it with the support of God’s power, with elevated feelings. That is why we come together. So what must I do now? Let me do what He wants me to do. Let my thoughts, words and actions be elevated.

This is the signal He is giving us. There is one God - everybody points one finger upwards. There is a subtle connection between me and Him and He signals to me. Let my connection with Him be so clear that I am able to understand the signals. You can all do this. In fact, this is what you have to do. There is no question of how because I know He will make it happen.

In the world, sometimes there is praise and sometimes defamation. We have to practice being detached. Remember; I am a child of God. I have to remain detached both from my body and from the influence of others. When there is attachment, you are stuck, you can’t move. Let me understand that attachment causes sorrow. I have to stay separate, knowing that each one’s role is unique. Two souls can’t have the same role. Within the drama, each actor has his own unique role. Now that I understand, I have to remove aggression and negativity. I have to stay within the world, but remove aggression and negativity from myself. I have to be detached, separate, unique. I have to be a server and, with attention, watch things from a distance. I don’t have to watch others, but I do have to watch what I’m doing. So ask yourself again and again, who am I?

He teaches us what part we have to play before we go home. The deep attention I need to pay is to stay free from attachment so I can be a whole, complete human being as God wants me to be.

The fourth aspect is of time. Seeing the situation now, what is it that I must do? In fact, God is telling me clearly what I must do. I have to transform negativity into positivity. I have to remove darkness. To let my inner eye open. I have to leave the body at some point but I should leave it in full awareness. In every situation, the first question has to be; what must I do here? Before I can give others unconditional love, what must I do for myself? There are blockages and the blockages cause pain to the self. There are also bondages. I would like to do this and that but because of that or this reason, I can’t. With honesty and faith, I can do this. In life, sometimes there are barriers. When barriers come, I have to check myself, I have to pause. If I am real and have royalty and reality, the barriers will vanish and there will be space for me to move on.

First see the self, then see the task. No one can stop me and I won’t stop for any reason. If there are obstacles, I have to go beyond them. Let me keep moving and I will reach the destination. God’s love is such that it’s like the gift of a lift. Let me be free from the thought that I have to do so much. Let me not have ego. Be light and free and you will sit in the lift. Stay up above, come down to do the work and go up above again.
